Belknap Mill Society, Laconia
Built in 1823, the Belknap Mill is the oldest, unaltered brick textile mill in America and the “Official Meeting House of New Hampshire.” Museum tours and private function space are available. The historic venue is a great setting for bus tour groups, weddings, private events/functions, and meetings. The mill also features a gift shop and art gallery where local artisans sell and display their works. Limited office space rentals are also available for those who love the original mill atmosphere. Museum and gift shop are open Tuesdays and Thursdays 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. year-round. A tour guide for the museum is available on Thursdays.
Canterbury Shaker Village, Canterbury
Canterbury Shaker Village preserves the 200-year Shaker legacy of innovative design, entrepreneurship, and simple living. Includes 25 restored original and four reconstructed Shaker buildings on 694 acres, cafe, store. Open May through November.

MKIM offers a fascinating journey into the world of the American Indian. Learn how these cultures lived in harmony with all of nature. Our guided tours take you through 12,000 years of history, with over 1,000 artifacts on display representing native material culture of yesterday and today. The outdoor Medicine Woods Nature Trail guides you through terrain planted with various plants, bushes, trees, and herbs used by American Indians for food, medicines, tools, and dyes.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, Holderness
Get nearer to nature! Live native animals in trailside enclosures, hands-on interactive exhibits, children’s activity center and playscape, and guided pontoon cruises on pristine Squam Lake.
