Safe Haven Ballet presents HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS

The story of a lonely creature who tries to cancel Christmas by stealing the gifts & decorations from the homes of the nearby town of Whoville on Christmas Eve. This ballet is full of laughter, romance, & an important lesson about the true meaning of the holiday season.
The Grinch is a unique interactive experience for audience members of all ages & learning opportunity that transforms our ballet stage into a vibrant classroom!
In addition to the performance component of the production, audiences can look forward to a lecture demonstration on different dance forms & their history, stagecraft, & theater etiquette. This component will help young audience members to:
-Broaden their cultural & global backgrounds when viewing performances of various genres originating from all parts of the world
-Analyze, critique, & communicate ideas presented in a different perspective
-Increase their attention stamina for auditory & visual media
-Understand the importance of manners & showing respect for others in social situations
The performance is set to both classical music & contemporary holiday music & includes narration so each audience member has a clear understanding of the story & can fully appreciate the artistry of the professional dancers. This production strives to:
-Provide a deep understanding of & appreciation for the art form of ballet
-Educate the community & let our audience get to know the artists & company better, leaving them with a yearning to learn more about performing arts in New Hampshire.
Safe Haven Ballet is a Trauma Informed 501(c)(3) non profit professional touring ballet company and school. Safe Haven is know for offering weekly free Trauma Sensitive ballet, yoga, pilates, cupcake decorating and paint night classes for survivors of sexual violence and trauma as well as producing touring uplifting productions.
