Katie Dobbins

Award winning singer-songwriter and light warrior Katie Dobbins seeks to share honest music that captivates listeners and brings light to the darkness. With a mastery of storytelling and the heart of a poet, this soulful songstress captures elements of life and relationships in ways that lift the spirit and challenge the soul. Her album There Is Light, produced by multi-award-winning producer Sean McLaughlin of 37′ Productions, was awarded Album of the Year at the 2021 Limelight Music Awards. Her single There’s a Light, mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Jeff Lipton, was featured on Spotify’s Editorial playlist. Her music has been featured on prominent radio stations like The River and “Boston’s Hottest Country,” with host Carolyn Kruse raving “Sweet but bold, Katie’s voice is reminiscent of one of her heroes, Jewel, but only deeper… A fearless spirit with a gentle touch.” Dobbins’ latest single Giants is an uplifting anthem designed to awaken the spirit and strength within us. The track was mixed and mastered by Emmy-nominated producer Brian Coombes of Rocking Horse Studio (NH), whom Katie plans to release more new music with this year.

Kat Ivy

Since Kat Ivy was born, she has been surrounded by music. She received her first guitar at age 5, and started writing music at 12 years old. Kat was going through very tough times in her life and used writing song lyrics as a way to cope with all the chaos going on around her.

Kat started performing around the northern MA area at around 18 on and off for about two years before taking a hiatus and traveling. In 2023 she started performing again and growing a career working with multiple agencies around New England to play at many bars, restaurants, coffee shops and venues.

In 2024, Kat decided she wanted to embrace her songwriting talents and create her debut EP with a raw storytelling approach. A main focus being to connect deeply with her audience. Her single “Memory Lane” off the upcoming EP, was aired on 92.5 Boston’s The River radio station back in October. Kat’s new EP “Nostalgia”, releasing soon, is set to have some folk, Indie, and Singer/Songwriter inspiration.

A Listening Room Experience

Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from New England and beyond to perform for you. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. We ask our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.
