Katie Dobbins

Award winning singer-songwriter and light warrior Katie Dobbins seeks to share honest music that captivates listeners and brings light to the darkness. With a mastery of storytelling and the heart of a poet, this soulful songstress captures elements of life and relationships in ways that lift the spirit and challenge the soul. Her album There Is Light, produced by multi-award-winning producer Sean McLaughlin of 37′ Productions, was awarded Album of the Year at the 2021 Limelight Music Awards. Her single There’s a Light, mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Jeff Lipton, was featured on Spotify’s Editorial playlist. Her music has been featured on prominent radio stations like The River and “Boston’s Hottest Country,” with host Carolyn Kruse raving “Sweet but bold, Katie’s voice is reminiscent of one of her heroes, Jewel, but only deeper… A fearless spirit with a gentle touch.” Dobbins’ latest single Giants is an uplifting anthem designed to awaken the spirit and strength within us. The track was mixed and mastered by Emmy-nominated producer Brian Coombes of Rocking Horse Studio (NH), whom Katie plans to release more new music with this year.

Moonfruits

2024 Canadian Folk Music Award nominees Moonfruits (Emerging Act & Producers of the Year) craft contemporary folk that addresses our collective humanity with heart, wit, and wonder. Led by partners Alex Millaire and Kaitlin Milroy, Moonfruits pen songs in both French and English, a reflection of their bilingual lived experience in their hometown of Ottawa.

Theirs is the music of open-minded dreamers and diligent doers, confronting dehumanizing capitalism and environmental catastrophe with a rousing message of solidarity. This Stingray Rising Star, SOCAN, and Trille Or award-winning group has toured their transportive live show across Canada, the US and Europe. In 2021, the duo co-wrote, arranged, and played in Moby: A Whale of a Tale, premiered on a ship in Toronto’s harbour, recipient of four Dora awards.

Moonfruits’ lushly orchestrated sophomore album, Salt (2022), weaves stories of family, responsibility and loss in this era of climate change and deepening inequality. It is rooted and astral, tender and powerful, foreboding and hopeful, cradling all the convictions and contradictions of its songwriters.

Live, step into a dream state with tight harmonies, bowed and plucked guitar & banjo, and a hefty dose of family-fueled storytelling.

Vanessa Jones

Vanessa Jones is a Maine-based singer/songwriter, violinist, multi-instrumentalist, freelance musician, studio musician, and recording artist.

Vanessa began her musical journey at the age of six, with violin lessons. As she developed musically, she performed with a variety of youth orchestras and classical ensembles throughout her childhood and into her teenaged years. Vanessa then put herself through college debt-free by playing at weddings on weekends with a string ensemble, and teaching violin and piano lessons during the week.

As an adult, Vanessa has performed with a startling variety of bands, from jazz, to punk, country, Celtic, rock, classical, Americana/folk, choral, theatre, blues, alternative, and beyond.

Now as a prolific songwriter, Vanessa finds her musical home in the vein of Americana music, bringing along her happy little collection of folk instruments. She enjoys bringing sparkle to the human experience through the sharing of songs based in honesty, imagery, truth, pain, and love.
