Get ready for Alexis and friends’ fifth annual Swim-a-thon on August 27th to raise $10K for LWA through a 5-mile relay swim around Governor’s Island. Join them in making a splash by donating today!

Alexis, a 72 yr. old grandmother, started her swims 5 years ago to raise awareness and funds in support of LWA’s work. Each year since, Alexis has increased her distance and changed location of the swim. Last year, battling lyme disease, Alexis almost canceled, but thanks to Deb Macone and friends, a relay team helped Alexis complete the 4 mile relay swim along Long Island in Moultonborough.

This year, more than 10 people will take part in a 5 mile swim around Governor’s Island on August 27th.
