Spooky season has arrived! The Lakes Region has plenty of tricks and treats on deck this October – and we’re not just talking about festive foliage and apple cider donuts.

Halloween Harvest Festival
When: October 23 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: The Inn on Golden Pond
What: Halloween Harvest Festival at The Inn on Golden Pond
The whole community is invited to this year’s Halloween Harvest Festival at The Inn on Golden Pond! Join the party on October 23, 2022, from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free and grants you access to family-friendly activities, including a bounce house, face painting, live music, games, and food trucks!
Haunted Fear Farm
When: Friday to Sunday through October 30
Where: Beans & Greens Farm
What: Beans and Screams Haunted Fear Farm
Come for a hair-raising night of eerie excitement at Beans and Screams Haunted Fear Farm. This “walking horror tour” is complete with special effects, scare actors and plenty of frightening surprises. Tickets are available from Friday through Sunday, 7 pm – 10 pm. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Pumpkinfest
When: October 29, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Where: Downtown Laconia
What: Pumpkinfest in Laconia
Pumpkinfest is a full day of festive fall events in the heart of Laconia, offering entertainment for all ages. Admire the pumpkin displays on the Main Street Pumpkin Stroll, play a game of Pumpkin Bowling, browse the Great New England Craft and Artisan Show, nibble on goodies from local food vendors, and enjoy live music all day long! Include your pet in the festivities at 603 Paws’ Halloween Party! Pop into the boutique to participate in a pet costume contest, win prizes, and enjoy snacks for you and your furry friend.
Naturally Wild Halloween
When: October 29, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Where: Squam Lakes Science Center
What: Naturally Wild Halloween
The Squam Lakes Science Center presents Naturally Wild Halloween – featuring animal presentations at the amphitheater throughout the day. See the animals along the trail nibbling on pumpkin treats. Children will leave with a Halloween goodie bag at the end of their visit. The cost is included in the standard admission price.
Ghouls & Drools
When: October 30, 2022 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Where: Twin Barns Brewing Co.
What: Ghouls & Drools
Visit Twin Barns Brewing Co. on October 30th to celebrate spooky season with a family and pet-friendly Halloween party in the Biergarten! Pets, kids, and adults are welcome to come dressed in their Halloween best to enter the costume contests. Paint pumpkins, sip and celebrate the Twin Barns x Burnt Timber collaboration Black IPA release, and sample silo food specials. They are also collecting donations for the NH Humane Society, so bring an item or two to show your support!
Halloween Boos Fest
When: October 28, 2022 7 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Where: Newfound Lake Inn
What: Halloween Boos Fest
Dance, dine, and drink the night away at Newfound Lake Inn’s Halloween Boos Fest! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, music, dancing, and a cash bar in their festive barn space. Come dressed in your Halloween costume to be entered to win prizes! Tickets are $55 in advance and $60 at the door.
