MEADOWBROOK VENUE MAKES SHORT LIST FOR 42nd ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
The Academy of Country Music has announced its nominations for the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center finds a place on the short list of venues nominated for the “Venue of the Year” award. Other venues included in this category are the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and Harrah’s North Kansas City.
Many of country music’s top talent nominated for this year’s awards have graced Meadowbrook’s stage, including Tim McGraw (Top Performer), Montgomery Gentry (Top Vocal Duo), Big & Rich (Top Vocal Duo) and Miranda Lambert (New Female Artist). “Our entire staff is pleased and proud to have the chance to work with artists of such caliber,” said Ken Ouellette, Director of Marketing at Meadowbrook.
“Artists of all genres love to come to our unique venue here in the foothills of the White Mountains,” said RJ Harding, General Manager, “and they all praise the superior quality of our acoustics.”
Country music icon Reba McEntire will host the 42nd Annual Country Music Awards broadcast from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 8:00 PM on CBS. Enjoy Reba McEntire live on stage at Meadowbrook for the first time on June 23.
