Hampshire Pewter Consolidates Wolfeboro NH Retail Operations

Hampshire Pewter, New Hampshire’s own pewter memory maker, announced that they will be consolidating their Wolfeboro, NH retail operations at their new and improved Factory Store. Since 1974, Hampshire Pewter has had manufacturing and retail operations in Wolfeboro, NH. A small retail outlet about 100 yards away from the factory was added on Main Street. “The Main Street operation was critical in helping us get through the effects of the building fire and recovery in 2002 and beyond,” states Abe Neudorf, president and co-owner. “We feel that we have now rebuilt the retail operations at the factory to be able to support the needs of local shoppers with ample free parking as well as the needs of the tourists coming to watch the craftsmen make the pewter items right before their eyes.” Harold Guptill, CEO and co-owner adds, “It had been recommended to us by the former owners to close the Main Street store sooner however we felt we needed to get a good understanding of the business prior to making the decision to consolidate.”

Also expanding this year is the Wolfeboro Adventure Pass. This pass entitles the bearer to admission to 6 Wolfeboro attractions including a free Wolfeboro key chain with a Hampshire Pewter factory tour. Other attractions include the Wright Museum, the Boat Museum, Klickety Klack railroad, Putters Village mini golf, and a narrated tour on Molly the Trolley.
