Funds raised at this annul event will allow the Lakes Region Association to enhance their marketing efforts to bring more visitors and their subsequent spending to the area's businesses. In addition, funds will also be used to increasing the association's financial contribution for the Annual Mildred Beach Hospitality Scholarship that is awarded each fall at the Association's Annual Meeting to an area college student.

The Lakes Region Association represents over 440 businesses including lodging properties, campgrounds, restaurants, attractions, marinas, golf courses, real estate companies, retail and related shops, and many service entities.
