With their beautful colors and extraordinary patterns, quilts are both works of art and records of our lives. Fifty quilts, patterns and related quilt-making objects made during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries are gathered together in the exhibition Pieced Together: New Hampshrie Quilts and Their Stories. The exhibition is organized by quilt types: domestic history, community history, moving West, the Civil War, frugality, memories, family tradition, textile manufaturing, and regional characteristics are among the themes and subjects the will be explored.
