Given student interest, the instructor will discuss the evolution of timber framing and hewing specifically, and the tools utilized in the work. A basic knowledge of hand tools and axe work is advisable. Please bring eye protection, steel toed boots, work gloves, and you may bring your own axe. The instructor will provide three felling axes and three broad axes for student use.
